Our patented Storm Anchor is fitted between the deck boards, with no drilling and no holes. The anchor is rounded and sits almost flush with the deck, so you can step on it safely.
Storm Anchor fits most decks. You need a gap of at least 5 mm between the boards, and the boards can be up to 32 mm thick. The anchor is made to hold Bag'in Nordic in place in strong wind and storms through autumn and winter. For fitting, see the owner's guide. If your garden is exposed, also read how to stop garden furniture blowing away in storms.
Seven ways to use Storm Anchor
1. Keep the awning from flapping in the wind
Tie a rope from each outer corner of the awning down to a Storm Anchor between the deck boards. The awning stays still, and the flapping noise is gone on a windy evening.
2. Hang things up
Use Storm Anchor as a fixing point for flower pots, lanterns and string lights, or hang life jackets ready for the trip down to the boat.
3. Keep the dog close on the deck
Clip the lead to Storm Anchor when the dog is lying on the deck with you. The anchor is made to hold Bag'in in place, so keep an eye on the dog while it is tied.
4. Secure the sun shade
Tie the sun sail or parasol to Storm Anchor and get shade over the dinner table, or for small children, on a warm summer day.
5. Hold the party tent in place
If you are having a party on the deck, the guy ropes from the party tent can be tied to Storm Anchor instead of pegs in the lawn.
6. Use it for a clothesline
Fit two Storm Anchors at a suitable distance and tie a line between them. You have a clothesline where clothes dry quickly in the summer sun.
7. Keep skis and poles in place
With the same technique as the clothesline, you can keep skis, poles and other winter gear in place during the summer months and save space.
